Orbit is your OpenOChem AI tutor. It brings tutoring, practice, and progress tracking into one place so you can see what you have mastered, get help when you are stuck, and practice the skills that matter for exams.

Once you are signed in, open Orbit from Learn. You will land on Orbit Home, with shortcuts to MolChat, Quizzes, and My Path.

My Path

My Path is your personalized roadmap. It tracks mastery by chapter and learning objective, shows your accuracy and study streak, and highlights focus areas that still need work. After each study session, use it to decide what to review next so you walk into exams knowing where you stand.

MolChat

MolChat is a chemistry-aware chat tutor. Ask a question in plain language, draw a structure, or attach a photo of your notes, a mechanism, or a spectrum. MolChat can explain concepts step by step, predict reactions from molecules you draw, and launch interactive tools for Newman projections, Fischer projections, Lewis structures, mechanisms, NMR/IR, and more. Use it when a textbook explanation is not clicking, or when you want to check your thinking before a quiz.

Quizzes

Orbit Quizzes let you practice Organic and General Chemistry with thousands of problems, including structure drawing, mechanisms, nomenclature, and spectra. Start a quick quiz from Orbit Home, browse topic lists, or ask MolChat to build a quiz from your conversation. Your results feed back into My Path, so every attempt helps target the next round of practice.

Used together, Orbit turns reading into a loop: learn in the textbook, ask MolChat when you get stuck, quiz yourself, then check My Path to see what to study next.
