Methane (CH₄)

1. Click the "+" icon in the app below and then click on the C (carbon) atom. Notice there are four unpaired electrons, meaning it can form four bonds.
2. Click the "+" icon to add four H (hydrogen) atoms.
3. Click on each unpaired electron on the carbon atom, then click on an unpaired electron on a hydrogen atom to form a bond. Repeat this for all four hydrogen atoms to complete the structure.
