Select Your Course

Orbit can only keep you on track if he knows which chemistry course you are in. My Path, focus areas, and recommended practice are all scoped to your current course.

On Orbit Home, use the Select Course control, or open My Courses from your profile menu.

  1. Choose the track that matches your class (General Chemistry, College Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and so on).
  2. That track becomes your primary course. Chapter lists and mastery on My Path update to match it.
  3. If you are in a live class, enter the access code from your instructor. Orbit will show a banner asking “Are you in a live class?” when you have not joined a section yet.
Action

Sign in, open Orbit, go to My Courses, and select the course you are taking before you start practicing. If your instructor gave you a code, join that section in the same dialog.

Pitfall

Progress from another course does not appear on this My Path. If the wrong track is selected, it can look like you have done nothing — even if you already practiced in a different course.

Once a course is selected, you are ready to work the learning objectives.
